President Bill Clinton on Gun Safety
James welcomes former President Bill Clinton to Stage 56 to discuss assault weapon legislation and the difficulties to reach an agreement on this issue. Because he grew up in a culture of firearms, Clinton offers advice on communication between people who disagree about gun rights. Clinton then expands on what’s next in the fight to pass laws that will protect people and children from gun violence. And on a note of positivity, Clinton says focusing on children’s futures is the best way to stay optimistic.
